Not that long ago we covered an interesting piece of transfer tittle-tattle that the media were peddling.
Our article Click Here, covered the increasing speculation that the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Christian Eriksen, could be leaving White Hart Lane, this summer, with Old Trafford being a possible destination.
As expected, the Tottenham supporters wasted no time in venting their displeasure at the suggestion one of their squad could tread a path already trodden, in the past, by Sheringham, Berbatov and Carrick.
Today, speculation inferring that Eriksen is likely to leave Tottenham this summer has reared its head again, courtesy of the red-top publication, the Mirror, with our referenced source implying that Tottenham are already looking towards the Dane’s replacement by procuring the Ajax midfielder, Donny van de Beek.
All that remains is for Eriksen to be courted by the Old Trafford hierarchy and convinced our absence from the Champions League, next season, will be a one-off.
Stranger things have happened in this game we all love!

United Are Taking The Right Approach When It Comes To The Squad Overhaul
At Eriksen’s age (27), with his undoubted quality, with 3 consecutive years of CL football behind him & the certainty of making that a 4th (with either Spurs or Real), I can’t see him trotting out on the rock-strewn pitches in unpronouncable ex-Soviet republics – AKA early rounds Europa Cup! Even if it’s for only 1 year & that’s far from guaranteed. He’ll want a shot at winning something big by the time he’s 30.
I wouldn’t leave a European Champs league team to go to Man U who, at the moment, look for like a Championship division outfit. There are no guarantees they will be much better next season unless they spend a billion pounds plus to get 11 new players.
It is very, very UNlikely that he would go there.
