After being sent out on loan for the remainder of the season, our young full-back Joe Riley, finds himself back in Manchester.
The 20-year-old was supposed to be enjoying a spell with the League One side Sheffield United.
However, it seems that an injury has seen the defender sent back to United for treatment.
Describing the situation, the Sheffield United manager, Chris Wilder, has remarked to the local Sheffield media,
‘It was a bit of a freak accident in training, something out of nothing. He stumbled and dislocated his shoulder.
‘He has gone for a scan back at Manchester United. Those results will determine if he’s back with us or if that’s his season done.’
We can only hope that Joe`s injury isn`t as bad as first feared and that the scan shows only minor damage.
If not, we wish Joe a speedy recovery.
