Manchester United have long been linked with a move for the Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale.

With Jose Mourinho looking to bring a player to Old Trafford that provides world-class on the flank, 28-year-old Bale appears to fit the bill.

However, it appears that Manchester United do not value the player, fee-wise, as highly as Real Madrid.

Real Madrid, looking to re-shape their squad next summer, are said to want a cool £100 million for the player.

But, according to the news source, The Mirror Manchester United are only willing to pay something in the region of £50-60 million for the player.

Our feeling is that the club has placed a lower valuation on the player courtesy of his recent injury record whereby he has rarely featured for Real Madrid.

After making a comeback, from injury, for Real Madrid in midweek, the Welshman was, once again, conspicuous by his absence in the 0-0 draw between Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao yesterday.
