As the Champions League Quarter-Final first leg draws ever closer, Nemanja Vidic has taken time out to reflect on past encounters between the two sides.

Vidic, who has just returned form a calf injury, has responded to the suggestion that Chelsea have had the better, in terms of recent results, in fixtures between the two teams, commenting,

“Maybe in terms of results they do have an advantage.”

“But this is the Champions League and we have to score a goal. That is the name of the game for us.”

“We`re not going to relax as we know we`re playing a good side, especially at home.”

“We scored four goals at West Ham on Saturday playing very good football – we must do the same at Chelsea.”

I hope he means playing well because with all the best intent in the word I doubt if the game will be so open we could notch up another quartet of strikes!
