I was waiting for the media, especially the tabloid press, to pick up on the fact that Nemanja Vidic will be facing his nemesis, Fernando Torres, on Tuesday evening.

Torres, who seems to score at will against Manchester United, will be looking to get at Vidic again but our club captain isn`t fazed by the situation, simply commenting ahead of the clash,

“Sometimes I read in the papers people saying I have a hard time against a particular player but that makes me focus even more on doing my job properly.”

“I`m just trying to do the best I can and in the end the fans and the media will form their own opinions by talking, I can only change them by what I do on the pitch.”

A clean sheet, at Stamford Bridge, might go some way to changing people`s perception of the current situation.
