Well, we were handed the toughest possible opponent for the 1st knockout round of the Champions League: out of Atletico Madrid, Lyon, Sporting, Real Madrid and Inter, we got the Italian champions.

Jose Mourinho returns to Old Trafford then and the stakes are high. Internazionale Milano haven’t won the competition since 1965 and are desperate to end that drought while United must hope they won’t fall to the ‘Holders’ Curse’ – in the last four seasons, the reigning European Champions fell at the last 16 EACH TIME.

First leg will be played on February 24/25, return leg on March 10/11. The first game of the tie will be at San Siro and the second leg will be played at Old Trafford – an important advantage.
