Monday can`t come around quick enough.

England play Mexico this Monday and the fixture gives many of us the chance to see, for the first time, in the flesh, our new striker – Javier Hernandez.

Hernandez, a mere five feet seven inches tall, has a reputation as a goal poacher with many likening his work to that of a United hero – Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

Whether Hernandez can make the transition from Mexican football to the Premier League remains to be seen. But he does come with a glowing reference from somebody we`ve tangled with many a time in the past – Adrian Heath.

Heath, currently working across the pond in American football, has this to say about our 21 year old capture,

“He is known as the Little Pea but you don`t think of him as being small because of how he plays.”

“You`ll watch him and think ‘He`s going to score any minute` – and sure enough he`ll pop up with one.”

“He has great movement, scores plenty in the air and always seems to be able to get a toe on the ball ahead of the defender.”

“But he will need time to bed in and if there`s a good place to do that it is United, because they have the talent in the squad to be patient. I`m sure he will be a big hit.”

Monday could be a revealing experience!
