In what we`re hoping will develop into something of a mini-series, we`ve two more pieces of transfer tittle-tattle to report on this fine Saturday.

The first relates to a position in our side that really does need some strength in depth adding to it, the defence. According to the Daily Telegraph, Manchester United are rivalling Chelsea in the chase to sign the Brazilian defender, on the books of Paris Saint-Germain, Marquinhos

The twenty-six year old has been in an out of the PSG first team squad and reportedly looking for a change of scenery. However, PSG, according to the source, want a cool £40 million for the player although it is also suggested that the French champions could be open to a player part exchange deal.

The second piece of transfer gossip suggests that Manchester United, according to the German news vehicle Blick, have agreed a deal for the 16-year-old FC Zurich striker Nishan Burkart.

I wonder what tittle-tattle we`ll uncover tomorrow!
