Two more pieces of tittle-tattle that might be intriguing.

Firstly, any interest Manchester United might have had in a German international looks set to be ended before any deal can be done.

According to several sources Manchester United have been looking at bringing Mario Gomez to Old Trafford.

Gomez, now 30-years-old, is a striker who could offer Manchester United that something extra next season.

However, according to the Daily Star, Gomez, who is currently on loan at the Turkish club, Besiktas, is set to sign a permanent deal that will keep him in Turkish football.

Secondly, the name of the Brazilian defender Marquinhos is being mentioned in the same sentence as Manchester United once again.

The 21-year-old defender, according to the Daily Star, continues to be unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain as is now, according to our source, being tracked by Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

I wonder if any of the two pieces of speculation mentioned above will come to fruition.
