United Transfer Target Has A Huge Decision To Make

|

Stay or move on!

In the last forty-eight hours, two pieces of speculation have appeared in the press about a supposed Manchester United transfer target, Declan Rice.

The first piece of speculation appeared in the metro, which suggested that Manchester United, in pursuing the player, sent scouts to watch him play, against Manchester City, last Saturday, a game West Ham won 4-0.

The second piece of transfer tittle-tattle come from the Guardian, which suggests that United’s hopes of signing Rice are not troubling the Hammers.

This particular source is of the opinion that West Ham will not commence contract talks with the teenager until the summer, furthermore, they are confident that with the player having 18 months left on his contract they will not lose the player for no fee.

Sat here in the Manchester United editorial chair, I have to say I’d love to see Declan Rice in a Manchester United shirt, he has a wonderful future in the game and his versatility would allow him to be used in the heart of the defence or sat in front of the back-four in a holding role.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
