Once again the grapevine is alive with the inference that, this summer, could well see persistence as the key word when it comes to acquiring a well-known striker.

Already there have been numerous mutterings that suggest Manchester United are working on a summer-long campaign to acquire the services of the Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane.

Today the campaign, as being reported by the press, suggests that Manchester United are set to test Spurs resolve by offering a sum of £40 million for the twenty-one year-old striker.

Apparently, with Real Madrid not the slightest bit interested in selling Gareth Bale, United see the possible capture of Harry Kane as the marque signing to get Old Trafford buzzing.

But, we should also point out that the Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy, has assured the Spurs manager that he has no intention of selling the England international.

Stay tuned for the next exciting instalment!
