United to Host West Ham If..

If Manchester United can squeeze past the challenge presented by Shrewsbury Town this Monday evening, in the FA Cup, they will host a quarter-final tie.

The draw for the quarter-final tie took place at Stamford Bridge this evening, immediately after Chelsea had thumped our near-neighbours Manchester City 5-1.

True, City played a weakened team with Pellegrini bleating on about unfair fixture scheduling but we`d like to point out the defeat was the heaviest inflicted on City during the regime of their current owners.

But, getting back to the draw, if United can overcome Shrewsbury, something I wouldn`t offer any guarantees on considering ur current run of form, Manchester United will host West Ham United who beat Blackburn Rovers 5-1 at Ewood Park this afternoon.

– Reading v Crystal Palace

– Everton v Chelsea

– Arsenal or Hull City v Watford

– Shrewsbury or Manchester United v West Ham United
