Following our attempts, for several seasons, to replace the Great Dane – Peter Schmeichel, it`s widely accepted that finding a classy keeper is a gigantic task.

United tried many recognized keepers between the posts before settling on Edwin van der Sar.

Who`ll take his place when he does retire, bearing in mind he`s 40 this season, will be something of a challenge.

Already this summer we`ve been linked with Anders Lindegaard, who keeps goal for the Norwegian side – Aalesund, and it appears we`re not the only club paying close attention t the stopper.

Our informants tell us that at least two other Premier League clubs are following his career, therefore if Sir Alex is serious about the guy then now might well be the time to make a significant move!
