Having left Manchester United, in midweek, to join Sunderland, Paddy McNair made his debut for the Black Cats yesterday.

Sunderland were playing our cross-city rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Unfortunately for Paddy, he had one of those debuts that will haunt him.

Having has three touches of the ball in the first few minutes, Paddy`s fourth touch will go down in the history books.

The Northern Ireland internationals fourth touch, with just three minutes and thirty five seconds on the clock, saw him score a dramatic own goal to give Manchester City a very early lead.

Paddy`s own goal was the first by a player on a Premier League debut since the Queens Park Rangers defender, Danny Gabbidon, did exactly the same thing back on the 13th August 2011.

Things can only get better Paddy, chin up mate.
