Continuing, as you do, on defensive matters, the media have reported that Manchester United have expressed an interest in a centre-back currently playing in Serie A.

Despite bringing the likes of Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly to the club, it would appear that Jose Mourinho is still not happy with his job lot of centre-backs, with the aforementioned duo supplemented by Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.

According to the news source, Daily Star, Manchester United would like to acquire the services of Milan Skriniar.

Skriniar, 23-years-of-age, is currently on the books of Inter Milan and is also interesting another big-name of the European game, Barcelona.

The centre-back joined Milan in the summer, arriving from another Serie A side, Sampdoria.

Since his arrival he has made 28 appearances and done enough to catch the attention of to several clubs scouts.

However, it would appear that, yet again, Manchester United and any other clubs looking at the player, are set to be disappointed.

Skriniar, a Slovakian international, appears content to remain at Inter and emulate the feats of another Slovakian who has Inter connections, Marek Hamsik.

Time to look elsewhere methinks!
