One interesting rumour doing the rounds in the red-top press this morning surrounds a possible swap deal involving Dimitar Berbatov.

The rumour infers that United are looking to swap the Bulgarian for the Schalke 04 striker, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

With Berbatov no longer first choice at united and with his contract expiring next summer, it appears to be a novel way to reap some sort of reward from losing the player even more so when the Schalke 04 general manager, a gentleman by the name of Horst Heldt expresses an interest in such a deal being orchestrated by commenting,

“Swapping Huntelaar for Berbatov is a very interesting proposal. I`d just need to sleep for a night on the idea.”

“It is entirely natural for a player in that sort of top form Huntelaar is showing to interest other clubs.”


Now whether it actually comes off is something we can only wait and ponder over
