United Striker’s Possible Move Could Go Through Or It May Collapse Scenario

|

If I was a betting man, but I’m not, I’d have wagered a few quid that Romelu Lukaku would have left the club by now.

All summer, and as we’ve been reporting, with the following being a typical example two-weeks-on-and-the-future-of-uniteds-striker-is-no-clearer speculation has been rife that the Belgian striker and Manchester United would be parting company.

With the rumours reaching a peak, Inter Milan has emerged as the 26-year-old’s preferred destination and The Daily Mail are reporting that Lukaku has spent time, in Belgium, with his agent trying to manipulate a deal.

However, the transfer fee Manchester United are asking for the 26-year-old remains the stumbling block.

According to our source, Inter Milan are reluctant to meet United’s asking price and United are reluctant to accept Inter’s offer which, is said, to be less than what the club paid Everton for the strikers’ services.

As a result, two scenarios exist.

The two clubs could reach a compromise on the fee which would allow the deal to go through before the summer transfer window closes, or the deal could collapse with Lukaku remaining at Old Trafford.

Now, which way will this one swing?

My view is that a compromise will be reached on the fee, but does that concur with your point of view?
