Well is that a surprise?

After we`ve pontificated for weeks over ow bringing the 34-year-old Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, to Old Trafford, the situation has taken another huge twist.

According to the popular media vehicle Gazaetta della Sport, Ibrahimovic has decided to stay put.

Having scored 30 league goals for Paris Saint-Germain this season, the striker had hinted that the only way he`d remain with the Parisian club is if a statue as high as the Eiffel Tower was built, in his honour.

However, it seems that a one-year deal, said to be worth £10 million has persuaded the Swedish striker that Paris isn`t such a bad place to live in and ply your trade after all.

If the reports are confirmed as being true, what are your feelings on Manchester United missing out on Ibrahimovic?

Will we rue the day we didn`t try and push through a pre-contract agreement or are we better off without the aging gunslinger riding into town?

Your views would be most appreciated.
