United Striker Returns Home For The Festive Period To Recover From His Hamstring Injury

|

It hasn’t so far, been a season to remember for Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean striker, who joined Manchester United in the January transfer window in 2018, has struggled to discover the form that saw him marked as such a dangerous player when he was on the books of Arsenal Football Club.

Subsequently, he’s been conspicuous by his absence from the starting eleven for most of this season.

Furthermore, things took a turn for the worse recently when, during a training session, the Chilean picked up a bad hamstring injury, the severity of which is likely to see him side-lined until, at least, the New Year.

As a consequence, the news source, the Independent, is reporting that Sanchez has been allowed to return to Chile to continue his rehabilitation from his injury in the safe hands of the Chilean national team medical staff.

Hopefully, a return home will see Sanchez return to Old Trafford and produce the form we saw whilst he was on the books of Arsenal.
