United Set To Force The Issue With Regards To Uncertain Keeper

|

It’s been a strange season for David de Gea!

A spate of recent mistakes has seen the Spanish goalkeeper in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

Couple that with the fact there are still question marks surrounding the 28-year-olds long term future at the club and it is easy to see why de Gea has been generating numerous column inches in the mainstream media recently.

Today, with the 208 / 2019 season in its last knockings, the red-top publication, the Sun, has come up with an interesting article.

Our source is championing the suggestion that the Manchester United hierarchy are not prepared to it around and wait for de Gea to decide where his long-term future does lie, whether it’ll be at Old Trafford or elsewhere.

Indeed, the inference is that de Gea has been given just a week to decide whether he wishes to remain a red or move on to pastures new.

Clearly, Manchester United do not want to be forced into a scenario where a late summer transfer would leave them desperately seeking a replacement for the Spaniard.

Whilst it may seem a harsh move, our view, here at Vital Manchester United, is that it is the correct one, If de Gea has any doubts about remaining at the club then they shouldn’t be allowed to fester, the club shouldn’t keep, on its books, anyone who isn’t 100% loyal to the cause!
