United Set To Capitalise On City’s Apparent Neglect

|

If, as the media are suggesting, Manchester United’s prime summer transfer target is Jadon Sancho, it would appear that the road to signing the teenager is missing one huge obstacle.

When clubs let promising teenagers go, or sometimes the not so promising, there is, quite often, a clause inserted in the sale contract relating to a possible buy-back, a percentage of any future sales or even restrictions on who the player might possibly join after he leaves the club he is moving to.

However, when it comes to 18-year-old Sancho, the news source, the Standard, is reporting that his previous club, our beloved rivals Manchester City, did not insist on any clause relating to Sancho possibly leaving Borussia Dortmund for Old Trafford.

If the suggestion is correct, Sancho could join the very limited band of players that have been on the books of both clubs, if Manchester United can agree on the astronomical fee and also persuade the youngster that Old Trafford is where his future lies!
