United Set To Announce First Major Signing Of The Summer Transfer Window

|

Now that’s quite a headline I think you’ll agree.

And I wouldn’t have used it if I hadn’t of stumbled across some kind of evidence to back it up.

But that is exactly what the Daily Star are championing this morning.

Picking up on something in the Portuguese press, Abola the vibe is that Manchester United are set to announce that the Sporting Lisbon midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, is coming to Old Trafford.

But have our referenced sources jumped the gun?

That could well be the case because digging deeper into the startling revelations you find that the word hope plays a prominent part.

Seemingly, Manchester United have yet to get an agreement that the 24-year-old midfielder will join the club, they are simply hoping that the deal can be agreed and announced as soon as the ongoing Nations League is complete.

Fernandes is expected to play a significant role in the final which will see his Portugal take on the winners of the England v Holland tie tonight.

A fee is also mentioned in the text, with it being reported that United are willing to pay between £62 million and £72 million for the player.

But, although Fernandes has indicated, last month, to the Portuguese press that it would be a dream to play in England, I’m not convinced that it will be at Old Trafford.

Our quoted sources also succinctly mention that our near-neighbours, Manchester City, are also interested and I wouldn’t be surprised if there were other clubs lurking in the background who are yet to declare their hand.

Would I like to see Fernandes at Old Trafford?

Of course, I would, his record speaks for itself, just look at his career profile Click Here it speaks volumes about the players ability and just what he could bring to a United squad desperate for an overhaul.

Here at Vital Manchester United we’ll keep abreast of the situation and report back as deemed necessary over the coming days.

Pobga is too good a player to walk away from a challenge.United needs him to attract other big name players.Without a high profile manager Paul is the only player who makes Old Trafford an intersting destination even for young and upcoming players.Ole should forget about his personality .
