Speculation, don`t you just love it!

It looks like, over the weekend and into Monday, we might all have been led up the proverbial garden path.

Talk of the deal for the Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin just seemed to escalate by the hour, to a point whereby we got to the stage where the press were having us believe that a medical was imminent and that the signing would be a formality in the hours to follow.

It now appears that`s not true with the Southampton manager, Ronald Koeman, confirming to the media,

“Until now we have not had a serious bid for him from United. We will wait, but that business normally starts from now.”

As for the player himself, it is being reported that he has returned to pre-season training ahead of the rest of squad and is busy working with the U21 squad.

Will Schneiderlin become a Manchester United player this summer or have the press being playing a merry game with us all?

Here at Vital Manchester United we`d be interested to hear your thoughts on the subject matter.
