Is there a better place to end a goal drought than in front of the cameras?

Wayne Rooney, who has now gone an incredible 1076 minutes without scoring will, no doubt be leading the United line at Craven Cottage this Sunday.

With the fixture being transmitted live by Sky Sports, it gives Rooney the perfect chance to exercise this particular demon.

But his manager, despite the goal drought, has no doubts regarding his main strikers` ability and, perhaps in an effort to boost his flagging confidence, has remarked ahead of the game,

“Wayne is one of the best strikers in the world. He is still young, still progressing and still learning.”

“When players get to 26 or 27, that`s when you start to see a mature player who is edging towards the peak of his powers. I hope we see that in Wayne.”

What`s your opinion!

Will Wayne end his goal drought beside the River Thames on Sunday?
