Yesterday, the leading tabloid carried a picture of Wayne Rooney.

The picture showed Wayne sporting a pair of trainers that had some scribbled writing on.

One slogan carried a remark that some would find offensive whilst the other scribble simply said Floyd and Jimmy

Puzzled, the leading tabloid enquired as to why Rooney would have Floyd and Jimmy scribbled on his footwear.

The explanation offered today leaves us a little puzzled.

Apparently, according to the leading tabloid, it comes from his boyhood when Wayne was nicknamed Jimmy after the Dutch striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Strange lad!
