United Ready To Match Selling Clubs Valuation To Land Target

|

As the hunt for a world-class centre-back looks set to end.

Earlier today, the inference being given by the media, as covered by Vital Manchester United, Click Here, was that the United hierarchy were looking to improve the heart of the defence by bringing in the West Ham United central defender, Issa Diop, it appears, according to Sky Sports, that the Leicester City centre-back, Harry Maguire, is really the man the club want.

Our referenced source hints heavily that the United executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, will match Leicester City’s valuation of the player.

Furthermore, the indication is given that United are ready to pay the defender £350,000 a week.

The financial figures involved are astronomical and, personally, I’m not sure if Maguire is any better than Chris Smalling and Phil Jones, but somebody, if the club are prepared to pay that amount of money, are!

But how do you, the Vital Manchester United readership, feel about this proposed deal?

Does it get your approval or is it a deal, like me, you are a little wary of?

I tend to share above opinion ie Maguire is over priced although some aspects of his game will improve ManU his lack of speed is already a concern and will only get worse
