This morning, in the tabloid media, it`s being reported that Glasgow Rangers have failed to sell their entire ticket allocation for the fixture tonight.

After having swamped the city last time their side were playing a competitive fixture here, the UEFA Cup Final, it would appear that the draconian measures put in place to ensure there`s no chance of a repeat of the disorder encountered last time, have put paid to many a supporter traveling.

Now, as a football supporter who has often felt the full force of the way the authorities contrive to treat you like dirt when you travel, I`m not that surprised, what saddens me though is that a club like Rangers, with such fantastic support, will not be accompanied by the maximum number of fans they`d like to have seen inside Old Trafford.

A sign of the times I guess!
