Come the opening of the January transfer record, we fully expect Manchester United to bring a left-footed defender to the club.

Speculation had suggested that left-sided defender would be the Tottenham Hotspur player, Danny Rose.

However, the scenario, according to one source, may have changed.

The good folk of the The Independent are implying that Alex Sandro is now the priority target.

Sandro, 26-years-of-age, has overtaken Rose in the pecking order simply because, according to our referenced source, Manchester United are wary of dealing with the Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Daniel Levy.

But, our question to you is, which of the two would you prefer, Danny Rose or Alex Sandro?

Both would probably cost between £50 million and £60 million and both are of a similar age.
