Paul Scholes continues to defy the sands of time and churns out impressive performances for Man United.

His latest, against Fulham on Sunday, was witnessed first hand by Fabio Capello and its ‘said’ that the England manager might make one last attempt to try and lure the midfielder out of international retirement to help during the Euro 2012 qualifying?

Scholes has mentioned his disappointment at not reversing his decision and missing out on he world cup, although he also said he wanted Capello himself to be calling him and asking him – not his assistant, and with a very limited time scale to decide this.

At 35 Scholes ‘should’ be too old, with former Man United midfielder David Beckham already told he is too old as this age, yet Scholes’ ability to influence a game as he does give him that chance to defy age easier, but will he though.

Do you think, and would you want, Paul Scholes to come out of international retirement or would you rather he just concentrated on club football with Man United?
