Another to step forward to discuss the difficulties we`ve encountered in our problematic attempt to win a record fourth consecutive title is Gary Neville.

Neville, who recently signed a one year extension to his current deal, holds out hope that Sunday could still be a glorious day for United but rues missed opportunities earlier in the season and hopes they will not cost us dear.

Neville, appeasing the quote happy media, had this to say,

“I think when you leave it in the hands of others you have to take the punishment. We saw that on Sunday.”

“We did our job which is all we could do and now we must hope something happens next Sunday. We live in hope. After the draw at Blackburn a few weeks ago we thought all hope had gone so at least we are still in it.”

“But we will be kicking ourselves if it doesn`t go our way on Sunday – the mistakes we have made have been unusual.”

“It`s been a crazy season and I hope we don`t live to regret it.”

Possibly a crazy season with one last twist!
