The 2-1 win, against West Bromwich Albion, at the Hawthorns, saw Gary Neville make his 400th Premier League appearance for Manchester United.

Neville had been stuck on 399 since he played against Stoke City and was ruthlessly, by Sir Alex Ferguson, hauled off at half time after being lucky not to have seen red for a bad couple of tackles.

Against West Brom, some may infer that Neville was lucky not to suffer a similar fate after he clearly tripped Graham Dorrans as the West Brom midfielder bore down on goal.

Thankfully, for Gary, the referee decreed that Neville had got a touch on the ball and waved play on when television replays clearly showed the opposite to be true.

If not, Gary could well have been making that dreaded walk!

Is it time for Gary to take up that coaching role he`s so often talked about?
