There`s nothing we`d like more than to add to Liverpool`s grief by knocking them out of the FA Cup this Sunday.

Anfield is a forlorn place at the moment with Roy Hodgson under increasing pressure to appease the faithful, last night saw Liverpool flop to another defeat, this time at the hands of Blackburn Rovers, we`ve no doubts that the club, knowing a title assault is out of the question, will focus on a Cup run.

Last season, United crashed out of the FA Cup at an early stage, going down 1-0 to Leeds United. That day Sir Alex Ferguson fiddled with his starting eleven and, probably, got his just desserts.

This time around, Sir Alex looks set to pay more attention to the greatest domestic cup competition this game of ours knows, with the boss commenting ahead of the fixture,

“It was a bad result last season against Leeds, especially considering the rivalry between the two clubs.”

“I n hindsight I could have picked a stronger team. I won`t be making that mistake this time.”

“It is an important trophy so there is a strong desire to get our hands on it.”

“We haven`t won it since 2004, or been to Wembley in the final since we lost to Chelsea in 2007.”

“So we definitely want to get back there. And we want to win it.”

With the title supposedly ours to throw away (although we`re aware that in a season of shocks we`re ready to expect more), a Double would be most welcomed come May!
