I’d imagine that by now, or if that’s not the case, sometime in the very near future, Paul Pogba will be sunning himself on a beach somewhere possibly reflecting on a season that didn’t live up to its expectation levels.
The 26-year-old Frenchman may also be mulling over where his future lies and the possibility of heading out of Old Trafford for a second time.
But whilst relaxation might be the name of the game, I cannot help but wonder whether the midfielder is keeping one eye on the transfer speculation coming from the media.
If he is, then Pogba may well be acutely aware of something that the tabloid publication, the Sun is championing.
It appears that if Real Madrid reach an impasse when it comes to a deal being concluded that would take Pogba to the Bernabeu then the Spanish giants will look elsewhere with our quoted source inferring that Christian Eriksen (Tottenham Hotspur) and Donny van de Beek (Ajax) could be viable alternatives.
If Pogba is serious about jumping ship, for a second time, I’d suggest he’d better get his skates on if a career with Real Madrid is high on his agenda!
