Drawing 0-0 away from home, in the Champions League, is a dangerous ruse.

Marseille will come to Old Trafford knowing that an early away goal, or any away goal, if United haven`t taken control of the game will really put the skid sunder Manchester United.

Our home form may be exemplary but the Champions League can, quite often, throw up the strangest of results.

Managed by Dider Deschamps, or the water-carrier as a certain Eric Cantona labeled him, the French side will, in their own way, be quietly confident about getting the result that will see them go into the draw for the last eight, something Deschamps, who witnessed our defeat of Arsenal from the stands at Old Trafford, has been quick to emphasise, commenting,

“We have the right not only to dream but to believe.”

“We played a first leg that left the door open. Yes United will be super favourites but even if we only have one small chance, we have to play to the end.

“When my players come on to the pitch at Old Trafford, I want them to have in the back of their minds the belief that it`s possible to qualify.”

Come Tuesday evening, we`ll all know which side has emerged victorious in what promises to be an exciting tussle.
