You`d think after spending so much cash on a squad that isn`t exactly setting the world alight, on current form, Roberto Mancini would have more to think about than us.

But that doesn`t seem to be the case with Mancini being only too willing to give his views on an incident that should be deemed as dead and buried, the Rooney / McCarthy affair.

The City boss has gone into print about no charges being brought or no red card being flashed, commenting,

“It`s normal – the big club usually has different treatment.”

“For me it was a red card, it was Rooney`s fault.”

“Sometimes the referee can make a mistake but I think it was a red card, the same as everyone else.”

But not the same views as the referee or the FA then!
