Yesterday, amongst numerous articles posted on what was a busy day, we covered how the Nottingham Forest teenager, Oliver Burke, was being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

However, we also pointed out that several other ‘big` clubs were also after the winger.

But with Jose Mourinho offering to loan the player back to Forest, if he signed for United, we hoped that might be enough to sway a deal in our favour.

Unfortunately that hasn`t proven to be the case.

News broke last night that the player had signed for the Bundesliga side Red Bull Leipzig for a fee of around £13 million.

Burke has put pen-to-paper on a five year deal with the Red Bull Leipzig sporting director, one Ralf Rangwick, remarking,

‘He is an outstanding talent with an awful lot of potential.

‘He fits with the high pace and way of playing very well and will make his next sporting development step with us.

‘This transfer is important, especially because several top clubs were interested.’

Yes they were, but some you win and some you lose.

Lastly, I should apologise for the fact that in the original article I posted a picture of the wrong Burke, something pointed out by an observant Nottingham Forest supporter.

You could say I feel a bit of a ???..Burke!
