The transfer window may be shut but that doesn’t stop the media from providing speculation as to who Manchester United might be looking to bring to Old Trafford once it opens again in the summer.
Today one typical example is provided by the tabloid publication, the Mirror, which is suggesting that Manchester United are looking to add to the French contingent at the club by signing Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele, 22-years-of-age, is currently on the books of the French club Lyon.
His performances have been such that the Lyon president, Jean-Michael Aulas, is rating the player at €80 million.
But it is a fee that hasn’t dissuaded Manchester United from showing interest with our referenced source implying Lyon have been contacted about a deal.
However, as you’d expect when such a young talent emerges, there are other clubs looking to acquire his services with both Juventus and Manchester City getting honourable mentions.
Here at Vital Manchester United, we’re hoping that the likes of Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial can persuade Ndombele that Old Trafford is the place to be, signing this young midfielder would certainly be a statement of intent.
