In what appears to be an ongoing saga, Manchester United and acquiring a new full-back, of the left-sided variety, seems to be a generator of numerous column inches recently.

With it being assumed that Jose Mourinho doesn`t see Luke Shaw as the long-term occupant of the aforementioned slot, Manchester United continue to be linked with the acquisition of a left-back.

Looking through the various media source, just over the last twenty-four hours, we`ve uncovered references to two more candidates.

The first, courtesy of the news vehicle, Talksport, is suggesting that Manchester United will, once again, engage in transfer talks with Benfica.

After already securing the services of Victor Lindelof from the Lisbon based club, our aforementioned source is of the opinion that 22-year-old Alex Grimaldo could be our man.

Elsewhere, the Manchester Evening News, are of the opinion that Manchester United are revisiting the Danny Rose situation with the 27-year-old now back in action with Tottenham Hotspur.

Now which of the two Jose Mourinho would most prefer isn`t known.

But when the transfer window opens in January 2018, it could be quite interesting.
