This morning, I’ve woken from my slumber, grabbed the tabloid newspapers that have fallen through the letterbox, to be greeted by a piece of transfer speculation, relating to Manchester United, gracing the back pages.
But this is no ordinary piece of speculation!
According to the Sun, Manchester United have made an approach to secure the services of a teenager who has created many a headline this season, the talented teenage winger, Jadon Sancho.
At just 18-years-of-age, Sancho has already gate-crashed the England squad and a move to the Bundesliga, with Borussia Dortmund, has done wonders for his career.
But such a young talent won’t come cheap with our referenced source implying that Manchester United will be looking at paying around £70 million for the youngster who, back in 2017, left our near-neighbours, Manchester City, for just £8 million.
However, if Manchester United are, as we all hope, serious about climbing back to the summit of English football, then expenditure of this level is required.
