United Linked With One Of The Superstars Of La Liga

|

The surprise re-appointment, during the week, of Zinedine Zidane as the manager of Real Madrid has seen speculation that the Welsh superstar, Gareth Bale, could be leaving the club.

Although his agent, Jonathan Barnett has insisted his client wants to remain at the Bernabeu for the rest of his career, sometimes issues can be forced to the contrary of players wishes.

When Jose Mourinho was in charge of Manchester United, speculation was rife that Jose wanted to bring the 29-year-old to Old Trafford.

However, when Ole Gunnar Solksjaer was pushed on the same subject, the Norwegian was keeping his cards very close to his chest with Sky Sports, reporting that Solksjaer had remarked:

“I can’t really comment on Gareth Bale or specific names because they’re the property of other clubs.

“But we should look for quality players, definitely, and players who could improve us as a team.”

At 29-years-of-age, Bale is at the prime of his career. If he were to become available only a select band of clubs would have the cash to instigate a move.

Could Manchester United be one such club?

Would you support a concerted drive to secure the services of Gareth Bale?

Two, I’m sure you will agree, interesting questions, please feel free to drop any views you have on the possible signing of Gareth Bale, in the comment facility beneath this article.

Bale is a very good player, but his playing days are numbered. We need a player who can strengthen the team. A player would be a boost, whose impact would be seen positively in the team. And most importantly has more playing days ahead.
