But it could be a forlorn chase for the full-back!

The insinuation that Jose Mourinho is looking to re-jig the Manchester United defence this summer, as he seeks to close the gap between ourselves and the Champions-elect, Manchester City, continues to throw up the names of potential signings.

Yesterday, a piece of speculation appeared, that we didn`t get time to cover, inferred that Manchester United were interested in a defender currently plying his trade, in the Premier League, with the North London side Arsenal.

According to the news vehicle, The Mirror, the player falling under the Old Trafford microscope was Hector Bellerin.

Last summer, the Spanish defender was the subject of interest from the Spanish giants, Barcelona.

However, Arsenal decreed that the player wasn`t for sale.

But, our reference source would now beg to differ.

Unfortunately, our source isn`t of the opinion that any Manchester United pursuit of Bellerin would be a successful one with the tabloid publication implying that Bellerin has his eyes on a move to the Serie A giants and a new career with Juventus.

I guess you win some and you lose some!
