The will he or won`t he implications of our first choice keeper choosing to call it a day at the end of this season don`t mask the fact that a search appears to be on for a long-term replacement.

If the red-top tabloid press is to be believed the selection process has been narrowed down with the Danish keeper, Anders Lindegaard, currently playing for the Norwegian club, Aalesund, appearing to be the favourite.

One red-top has United preparing to put in a bid of £5 million with the keeper, reputedly, providing a quote acknowledging that he`s aware of any United interest, when he remarks,

“I know there is interest from United.”

We`ll wait and watch on this one, something tells me this could be our man!
