Could Manchester United be about to launch a raid on Real Madrid?

After the Spanish club splashed out some more cash to purchase the German star, Sami Khedira, one of the tabloids has us as leading contenders to try and snare their French midfielder, Lassana Diarra.

Diarra is rumoured to have a buy-out clause of £19 million in his contract but an overload in the midfield department means he could probably be snapped up for a lot less than that.

The midfielder certainly has a good pedigree having already played Premier League football for Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth before moving on to the La Liga.

Unfortunately, Diarra missed the recent World Cup after training at altitude saw him diagnosed with sickle-cell anaemia, a condition that no longer affects him.

At twenty-five years of age he still has a lot to offer, whether his future does lie at Old Trafford or not we`ll no doubt find out in the days to come!
