With Anders Lindegaard having joined the goalkeeping ranks at Old Trafford, competition for the starting position is as keen as ever.

On Sunday, it was Thomasz Kuszczak who started on the bench, as Lindegaard was struck down with a virus, prompting some wag to comment it was the first thing he`d caught since arriving at Old Trafford.

Sven Goran Eriksson, now overseeing operations at Leicester City, obviously thought this may well be a good time to ask to loan a keeper, with our Polish back-up his intended target.

Unfortunately for Sven, Thomasz had other ideas and has politely declined a loan move preferring to fight for the first team jersey at Old Trafford much to the disappointment of Sven who has been quoted as having remarked,

“Tomasz doesn`t want to come to us.”

Leicester or United? Not much of a choice if you ask me!
