Kick-off isn`t that far away and already the expectation and adrenalin levels are rising as two giants of the English game prepare to collide.

Manchester United against Liverpool is always a mouth-watering affair, usually anything can happen when the two giants of English football collide and it usually does.

For Ryan Giggs, it is the game to look forward to and ahead of the clash the Welshman has remarked to the tabloid media,

“United against Liverpool is still the game you look forward to at the start of the season. Whether it is at Old Trafford or Anfield, the atmosphere is always ferocious.”

“I was amazed Liverpool didn`t finish in the top four last season after going very close to the title the previous season.”

“But Manchester United and Liverpool will always be rivals regardless of how the two teams are doing.”

It`ll be interesting to see if Liverpool can return to the top four status they held with regularity of whether those days are long gone, perhaps the first indication will come today when Roy Hodgson brings the ailing giants to Old Trafford!
