A prominent former United player reckons it is!

Our poor, no shocking, start to the season whereby we`ve taken one point from the six available, in the Premier League, whilst also having seen our hopes of winning the Capital One Cup obliterated by League One MK Dons, has generated numerous column inches.

Everybody appears to be, after such a dominant pre-season, puzzled as to why Manchester United are struggling so badly.

Okay, perhaps there is disappointment in the air that, once again, we`re scrambling around for signings as the transfer window closure threatens and okay we`ve been troubled by injury, but is there a simpler explanation to be had?

Paul Scholes, who seems to have plenty to say for himself since retiring as a player, reckon sit is all down to the new system Louis Van Gaal has decided to employ. Scholes is of the opinion that is the change in tactics is the reason why we`ve become so porous defensively.

Is he correct or have you another reason you`d like to put up for debate?
