Are Manchester United set to add another Belgian international to their squad?

According to the reporters of the best-selling tabloid, The Sun, that could well be the case.

Our aforementioned source is of the opinion that the Napoli forward Dries Mertens is the subject of a major enquiry from Manchester United.

The 29-year-old, reportedly, is to be offered a deal that will double his salary with Manchester United set to offer the forward an annual salary of £4 million.

This season the Belgian has scored 25 goals for Napoli and with his contract set to end in May 2018, Manchester United could pay the buy-out clause in his contract which is, by todays` standards, a modest £30 million.

Mertens is also able to play anywhere across the front three, his versatility adding to his allure.

We`ll endeavour to keep a watchful eye on the situation.
