It has been suggested, in the media, whoever is in charge of Manchester United come the summer, will have an £80 million transfer fund to spend.

We`d imagine that transfer fund will be boosted as several of the squad that are deemed surplus to requirements are moved on.

Today, transfer speculation in the Sunday Mirror, suggests that Manchester United are set to lock horns with Arsenal for the services of a Brazilian defender who is on the books of the French champions Paris St Germain.

The player in question is 21-year-old Marquinhos who is said to be looking to exit the Paris club after being left on the bench for the midweek 2-2 Champions League quarter-final first leg, against Manchester City.

Is Marquinhos the type of player you`d like to see brought to Old Trafford?

Here at Vital Manchester United we`d certainly like to hear your views.
