Previously we`ve covered speculation that suggested that Marcos Rojo might be set to leave Old Trafford.

With Jose Mourinho having decreed that certain members of the current squad were surplus to requirements, our suspicions were that Rojo fell into that category.

However, despite concrete interest from two unnamed clubs, it seems that Rojo is going nowhere.

According to the news vehicle Yahoo, Click Here, the Argentine defender has been told he is ‘categorically` not for sale.

Although Rojo is unlikely to be a first-choice for Mourinho the fact that Manchester United are competing on four fronts this season means that the 26-year-old is seen as a valued back-up option in case of injury or suspension to Mourinho`s preferred back-four.

Now whether Rojo finds this acceptable or not remains to be seen but it would appear that Mourinho is sticking to his plan of having two players for each position in the side.
