The future of the Southampton left-back, Nathaniel Clyne, is still a subject that is generating column inches.

The past few weeks have seen Clyne given an ultimatum by the Southampton manager Ronald Koeman whilst also being linked with a move to Manchester United or Chelsea.

The inference has also been bandied about that Clyne would like to be reunited with his former Southampton colleague Luke Shaw.

Today, the inference being bandied about by none other than the Times is that Manchester United have made an increased offer, said to be in the region of £18 million for the 24-year-old,
